Great to hear a new song from you!

GarbojeGaroje responds:

Thanks!

bro leaked my IP in a music

AnOblivion responds:

Pffff

dude you are really underrated- 3 followers and this kinda music?!
also i agree with the other guy

1:29 Is cool when it just goes to just the bass

The mix sometimes has some stuff surprisingly loud (namely 1:49 startled me) and i cant hear some stuff as much as id like to (mainly the breakbeats at the start (but the 1:16 breakbeats are fine))

I LOVE 2:11 where the drop happens late, but i really think its just me but 2:34 to 3:06 feels kinda emptyish/boringish idk (sorry) BUT the claps and horn (?) you added after 3:06 made it more interesting!

The first melody on its own is REALLY confusing, and not in a good way imo
i'd add some kind of percussion to signal the beat otherwise its just random notes

Im not gonna try and critique 1:28 bc psytrance (?) isnt really my area of expertise lol

ALSO YOU RICKROLLED ME WITH THE TAGS LIKE I DID LMAO

decent, added half a star for rickroll lmao

You were on even more crack than usual i see
I like the percussion in this one also , gives me frums vibes

My ears hurt...in a good way

I was a little bored during the intro but I stuck with it and I'm glad I did!
Goes really hard, especially since you've gotten really good at dramatic pauses and those are EVERYWHERE (MAN I LOVE DRAMATIC PAUSES)
One example of this I really like is how the melody stops with the snare on the second beat of every bar in the 1:36 part (MAN I LOVE DRAMATIC PAUSES)

I'm trying really hard to find something to critique but I know next to nothing ab mixing and its just too much of a bop to critique lmao

...well, maybe the ending is a bit empty actually, maybe some light percussion could help it out?
...and the intro goes on for a while with the same melody (I have the attention span of a goldfish)

9 outta 10!

MU53 responds:

Yeahhhh......I suppose the intro is a test of one's patience. Should've accounted for that lmao

I had some fun with the dramatic pausing here and there, I must admit. Really set a groovy headbanging mood I suppose. Also, the end is supposed to be a little more empty than the rest of the song. But honestly, I think what I got works, but thanks for the feedback anyways. I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Thanks for the review :)

Astounding from someone with 2 followers!
Make that 3!

How does one feel like they’re trapped in a whiteboard
I love the lil hihat fills emphasising the melody in the first section!
Along with that, the percussion is rlly cool throughout actually! The samba drums at 2:10 is a good example of that.
Nice!!
Nice

I like this!
So mich cool noise, which blends well together
Sounds kinda like the Risk of Rain soundtrack kinda
Your use of pan is good and the echos going from ear to ear are really cool (is it mod delay? Not sure)
Makes me think of a rainy day on a snowy mountain
Love the creativity!

DaxCamdaxian responds:

Thanks for listening, I'm glad you liked it, the panning varies a bit, sometimes I use "automatic" delay and set it to make the jumps and other times I do it manually and I mix that with other delay virtual machines/pedals

You nailed the picture of the track, a rainy day in a snowy mountain 🏔️🌧️

Review:
Awesome.
The dramatic pauses, sick guitar, creepy atmosphere (especially with the spooky synth at 1:47 lol) are great together.
But the melody is the same the whole way through, so I would like a change at some point.
Nice

MU53 responds:

Thanks for the review...

I was going for a more creepy and unsettling atmosphere, as well as something that was very chaotic in energy. I think writing this in D minor helped me achieve this, but also using a different riser sfx and experimenting with pattern cutting, and making some of the transitions emptier also helped if you ask me.

Also something funny, but there is very little guitar in the song. But rather, it's a synth with pretty heavy distortion placed on it to make it sound like a guitar. Only places where there actually is a guitar is from 1:25 - 1:35 and 1:46 to the end.

I’ve been trying to make music for 3 years!
You can use my music in geometry dash! Please send me anything cool you might make :)
